There’s something undeniably magical about Lake of Bays. Tucked into the heart of Muskoka, it has a way of casting a golden, timeless glow over everything it touches. It only made sense to take Winter + Barretts engagement photos on this same lake that they would be getting married on next summer.

On a calm, sun-drenched evening, the two met me on the docks of Dwight Beach. They drove in on their small, vintage family boat with there companion Rambo close by. We started our night together with a romantic sunset cruise around the bay to take advantage of the golden glow while we had it.

As the sun slipped behind trees we docked the boat + celebrated their engagement. Including a champagne pop + a cake topped with their wedding date + white pipping. Rambo stayed close by contently hanging out aboard. Not soon after, Winter + Barretts carefree spirits led them to a jump in the lake. Truly my favourite way to end a summer night.
