Intimate Summer Cottage Wedding

What a relaxed + laidback wedding this one was! Krista + Rob decided to have their intimate wedding at their family cottage on Duck Lake. When I arrived I could tell that so many memories had taken place here over the years. I loved that they were getting married at a spot that was so meaningful to them. It makes the day and their photos feel even more special.

It was a warm day in August for the two of them with not a cloud in the sky. The ceremony took place in front of their memory filled cottage and overlooked the lake. Krista + Rob waited to see each other at the aisle and when Krista walked down I could see so much love in Robs eyes for her. It gave me actual butterflies.

After the ceremony was probably my favorite part of the day. Krista + Rob whisked away to one of the cottage bedrooms to share their vows privately with each other. I stayed long enough to document the moment and then snuck away to let them share this special time just the two of them. I think this was such a great idea to help them slow down, take in the day and focus in on each other.

After they shared their vows they cracked a cold one and hung out for a bit. So fun + unique! Not soon after they headed back outside to embrace all of their loved ones who were ready to congratulate + love on them. The celebrations continued on the family cottage property, which made the perfect spot for a good time. I kicked off my sandals and documented the kids swimming at the beach + Krista + Rob enjoying time with their friends + family. It was such a light+ enjoyable way to end the day.
