Wedding at Windermere House

Shannon + Chris had the most beautiful fall day for their wedding at Windermere House. The sun was shining, the air was warm + the leaves were just starting to turn colour. This was my first time photographing at Windermere House. I loved the intimate, classic feel the house gave + being on the lake in Muskoka made this venue feel like perfection.

The energy was so fun when I arrived to Shannons room in the morning. The girls were dancing, jumping on the bed to music + getting excited to finally see Shannon in her dress. Chris + his guys were enjoying each others company downstairs when Chris gifted them all canoe paddles. I thought this was such a unique groomsmen gift idea. Especially considering we were on the lake for the day.

During their ceremony, Shannon + Chris had some family members + friends speak. Which made their ceremony feel so personal + of course even more emotional. Guests were caught wiping away their tears.

Soon after Shannon + Chris tied the knot, we ran down to the docks together for Portrait time. The golden light was hiting the lake + fall foliage perfectly. I love slowing down with my couples in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the day. This time by the lake together made for the perfect moment for Shannon + Chris to be still + take in the day together.

The reception was so fun! Shannon + Chris’s excitement was contagious. You could feel how cheerful all their guests were to see them so happy together. Shannon + Chris’s dance moves were the perfect way to top off this day.
